Lani Sawyer creates wonderful designs using the beautiful plants and animals of our island as inspiration.

Because of her love of art, Lani's mom Zennie Sawyer, began Haku Designs in 1985. Drawing is still Zennie's passion.

Her style of drawing details favorite native and local plants. After a quarter of a century, some of her original designs are still in use and loved by customers world wide.

Literally, Haku translates as "Lord" in the Hawaiian language.

"The reason I chose that name and decided to sign the name Haku on every design that I create is because, "He" is the creator of every design. I am just capturing the beatiful details of his creations, thus Haku Designs."

She attributes to the Lord, her ability to take a customer's request for a design and capture whatever the client wishes to present. Through her, many buisnesses and individuals have been overwhelmed and amazed by the finished product.
