Wonderful Hand-Crafted, Molokai Quilts


Inge Adolpho is of German decent living in Hawaii for 50 years, She is Hawaiian at heart.

After years of service in the hotel and restaurant life, she retired and published a 58 page tropical drink recipe book. Hilariously illustrated in color by Harry Lyons with 115 "real" tropical drink recipes.

Using the talent inherited from her grandmother, she started to sew all sorts of things, handbags, potholders and her favorites, an assortment of patch blankets, baby sizes, lap blankets, twin bed sizes, and larger ones.

She began to quilt and made wall hangings which can be displayed proudly with or without frame. Then some of the local kupunas would let her finish their started projects, which led to completion of 3 king size Hawaiian quilts and 2 queen size ones.

Having lived thru the war years in Germany , she learned never to throw anything away. and with the abundance of tropical fruits everywhere on Molokai, including her yard, she began making jellies and jams.

Homegrown and home made is her motto.
